Alibre PhotoRender is based on licensed technology from LightWork Design. Its LightWorks technology is the world's leading rendering engine for 3D design. Put this advanced technology to work for you with the Alibre PhotoRender module, or get Alibre PhotoRender Industrial Pack for even more advanced capabilities. |
Create high-quality, photo-realistic images from your 3D CAD models with Alibre PhotoRender, an extension module for Alibre Design. The models can be created in Alibre Design or imported from other CAD systems.
Use this powerful tool to illustrate design concepts more effectively and add impact to your presentations and proposals.
Easy to Use.
When installed, Alibre PhotoRender appears as an option in the Tools menu in design workspaces. To use Alibre PhotoRender, open a part or assembly then select PhotoRender from the Tools menu. The model will load into a rendering window where properties such as materials, illumination and scenery can be applied through a simple drag and drop interface. Just drag materials, lights and scenery from a pre-defined library onto the scene. It's that easy.
Alibre PhotoRender Industrial Pack adds even more features, including realistic surfaces and effects for a variety of metals, glass, mirrors and polished surfaces; realistic surfaces for leather materials; atmospheric effects such as fog and snow; realistic lighting arrays; and simulation of complex paint finishes.
Alibre PhotoRender Features
- Materials with plain color or image-based textures, true transparency, specular and diffuse reflectance and image based bump maps.
- Unlimited number of lights including ambient, eye, distant and spot light sources and soft shadows.
- Plain, graduated and image-based backgrounds and depth cue foregrounds.
- Intelligent model size and view dependent light-studios and scenery.
- Super-sampling anti-aliasing to remove jaggies.
- Render to screen, file or printer.
- Support for BMP, JPG, Targa, TIFF and LWI image formats.
- Intelligent combination of material components such as base materials, surface finishes and colors.
- Predefined archives of materials, light-studios and scenery.
- Use of schemes to save snapshots of the current materials, lighting and scenery.
Alibre PhotoRender Industrial Pack Features
- Accelerated scanline and ray-trace rendering with analytical and adaptive anti-aliasing techniques giving optimal performance and quality for any scene.
- Procedural materials with 2D and 3D parametric patterns defining brick, marble, checker, stripe and polka dot patterns, surface finishes and transparency effects.
- Ray-trace materials for simulation of metals, glass, mirrors and polished surfaces, including physically accurate reflections, refractions and Fresnel filtering effects.
- Anisotropic reflectance shaders for physically based simulation of brushed metal surfaces and woven materials like silk or satin.
- Multi-layer paint shader, to simulate painted basecoat and clearcoat finishes. Includes multiple highlight and color shift effects of metallic and multi-layer paints.
- Wrapped and solid leather shader, giving users the ability to simulate the surface finish of a wide range of leather materials.
- Hard ray-traced shadows with support for colored shadows from translucent objects.
- Basic atmospheric effects such as fog and snow.
- Projector light source and predefined light-arrays simulating natural lighting.
- LWA-enabled for access to Base and Industrial archives of materials and lights on the LightWorks-User web site.
- Predefined archives of advanced materials, light-studios and scenery.
